Artservatory Independent Artist Agreement

Below is the set of terms and conditions that artists are required to agree to in order to display art at any Artservatory event.

This Independent Artist Agreement is made and entered between the artist(s) and the Artservatory Panel.

At the time an artist submits artwork for review by members of the Artservatory Panel, in consideration of the covenant and conditions hereinafter set forth, the Artservatory Panel and the artist agree to the following:

 

SERVICES:

The artist shall perform the following services for Artservatory:

-The artist agrees to display artwork for Artservatory at the event agreed upon at the time the artist submits his/her artwork for review by members of the Artservatory Panel. Early termination of this agreement shall give the Artservatory Panel the right to exclude said artist from future participation in Artservatory events. Any pornographic or sacrilegious artwork shall be prohibited from showing at Artservatory events, with the determination of qualifiication of said descriptions for submitted artwork being decided upon at the sole discretion of the Artservatory panel.

 

PAYMENT:

The artist will receive monetary compensation for artwork displayed through the sale of his/her own artwork only under this agreement as follows:

-The artist is responsible for negotiating the sale of his/her own artwork, and Artservatory will not be held responsible or liable for terminated transactions between artist and buyer.

 

MORE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The artist must agree to the following terms and conditions:

-All artwork submitted for review must have been created by the artist who intends to participate in any Artservatory event, OR the copyright or trademark associated with said artwork must be held by the artist who intends to participate in said Artservatory event. No artwork that infringes on copyrights or trademarks will be accepted for display at any Artservatory event.

-Artists will be assigned gallery space or will be able to request a specific space, dependant upon the outcome of the verbal negotiation to take place at a Consultation Meeting, which will be scheduled some time after art is submitted by the artist for review by members of the Artservatory Panel, and some time before or on the date of the Artservatory event.

-Artists are responsible for choosing how best to display their artwork and for supplying the necessary equipment and tools required to do so. The artist himself/herself, or one (or more) acting on the artist's behalf, are also required to hang or arrange art pieces for display. Artservatory will not be responsible for hanging or arranging artwork unless agreed upon between the artist and a member of the Artservatory Panel on or before the date of the Artservatory event.

-Artservatory will not be held responsible or liable for damage incurred to any artwork in the process of preparing, installing, displaying, or removing artwork from Artservatory events. The artist will be held liable for any damage incurred to his/her own artwork while preparing, installing, displaying, and removing his/her artwork.

-Artists, at the time of submission, give permission to the Artservatory Panel to use all images, music, names, and logos relevant to the artist's artwork displayed or performed at any Artservatory event for promotional use only.

 

At the time of submission, the artist agrees to meet the terms and conditions requested by the Artservatory Panel as set forth above. The definite confirmation of an artist's participation in any Artservatory event will be considered, confirmed, and scheduled with the artist some time after the artist submits his/her artwork for review by members of the Artservatory Panel, and some time before or on the date of said Artservatory event. A Consultation Meeting to take place before or on the date of said Artservatory event will also be scheduled with the artist and one or more members of the Artservatory Panel. This Consultation Meeting is to take place at the venue where said Artservatory event is to be held, and it is for the purpose of discussing the logistics of displaying artwork by the artist and the gallery space required and other requirements requested.
